Class Offerings

Basics of Better Bicycling (novice to intermediate)

Looking to start cycling for transportation or fitness? Sixty percent of Americans are interested but concerned about bike commuting. We can calm those concerns. This two hour class will save you two years of trial-and-error! You don’t even need a bike for this intro class. Arrive ready to learn for this classroom style session.

Bike Skills for Women (novice to intermediate)

Women represent 51% of the US population and 43% of people riding bikes.  This course is tailored for women to address theories relating to fashion, fear, and economics. This three hour class consists of a one hour classroom workshop covering topics such as how to fix a flat, pre-ride checklist, and rules of the road.  We then spend two hours in an outdoor skills clinic where students hone their bike handling skills on their own bikes. Please bring a bicycle in good working order, a helmet, and appropriate footwear.

Parking Lot to Peloton (novice to intermediate)

Nervous about that first big tour or charity cycling event? This class will prepare you for the experience starting from the parking lot to get you and your bike ready to confidently roll on to the roadways with a group in just two hours. Please bring a bicycle in good working order, a helmet, and appropriate footwear.

Group Riding 201 (advanced)

Now you want to ride confidently in the group. Why do some groups roll so tightly, safely and confidently while others are all over the road? It comes down to about 10 principles handed down from European clubs that many experienced riders never learn. Please bring a bicycle in good working order, a helmet, and appropriate footwear.

Intro to Racing (advanced)

Ready to rip? Climbing, cornering, and sprinting are just some of the skills taught in this clinic. This class also harps on staying safe at any speed. There will be discussion on training, diet, and tactics. Even if you never pin on a number this class can vastly improve any rider's skill set. Please make sure to bring a bicycle in good working order, a helmet, and appropriate footwear. This class will include instruction both on and off the bike.
